The E15 engages key stakeholders – WTO Ambassadors and political, business, and civil society leaders – in policy dialogues in Geneva and around the world to help validate ideas, align interests and strengthen the impetus for change.
Expert Group and Task Force Workshops
First Session with Business Executives
ICTSD and the World Economic Forum hosted an interactive web/video/telephone discussion bringing together members from the E15 Expert Groups on Global Value Chains, New Industrial Policy, Agriculture and Food Security, Climate Change, and Clean Energy Technologies as well as relevant business executives on 4 December 2014. The session took place during the second Expert Group workshop on New Industrial Policy, and all experts from this group participated in it.
This call was the first of a series providing very brief updates on the discussions taking place in several of the E15 Expert Groups. It provided an opportunity for brief input from a broader set of business voices and cross-fertilization of ideas between the groups. It was meant to prompt deeper subsequent interactions.
Nine business executives from organizations including Cargill, Renault-Nissan, PwC, and Bain & Co, participated in the call and provided input on the business-related aspects of E15 ideas and policy options.
