World Economic Forum on Africa
On 3-5 June 2015, E15 members participated in the World Economic Forum Regional Meeting on Africa in Cape Town, South Africa.
E15 ideas from the Expert Groups on Global Value Chains, Trade, Finance and Development, and Extractive Industries were discussed in a private session entitled “Trade & Investment: Boosting African Value Chains.” Discussion questions included:
- What are the key challenges faced in African value chains ? How can we make supply chains more predictable and efficient in the region?
- How can we galvanize action from the private sector to accelerate the Continental Free Trade Area implementation?
- What financial and policy innovations are needed to ensure trade and investment drive sustainable development?
