Senior fish and fishery products consultant; Veterinary doctor, specialized in fish products quality, safety, and trade; Coordinator, NEPAD Trade Working Group; Member, Technical Advisory Board of the Marine Stewardship Council; Member, African Ecolabelling Mechanism Working Group. Has 29 years of experience in the promotion of African intra-regional and international fish trade. Former: Director, Intergovernmental Organization on Fish Advisory and Cooperation Services for Fish Trade in Africa (INFOPÊCHE); FAO Staff. Has also worked as consultant for development projects funded by: World Bank, African Development Bank, EU, FAO, UNIDO, AU, ACP Secretariat, CFC; NORAD, ATLAFCO, and European consulting firms. Has published articles and reports on best practices on fish safety and trade in Africa.
