Professor, University of Stavanger; President, International Association of Aquaculture Economics and Management; Associate editor, Marine Resource Economics; Fulbright scholar, Duke University; Fellow, Norwegian Academy of Technological Sciences. Former: Visiting scholar, University of British Columbia, University of Rhode Island and Duke University. Research interests include aquaculture, seafood markets, fisheries management and energy economics. Has published widely in these areas. Co-author of the book The Economics of Aquaculture.
