Marie Chamay is the Director of Strategic Initiatives. She provides strategic direction for ICTSD programmes in the areas of investment policy and regulatory systems coherence, and provides full managerial overview and ensures effective implementation of the E15 Initiative and the RTA Exchange at ICTSD. She’s also a member of the Centre’s Senior Management and its Operations, Programme and Strategy board. She was E15 Initiative Senior Manager between 2014 and 2016. In 2011, she was appointed Global Initiative Manager. Her role was to promote the mission of the Centre through the development and implementation of the Global Initiative, a project to establish ICTSD entities at the national and regional levels in China, US, Africa, Asia and Latin America. Between 2008 and 2011, she was Global Platform Manager. Her responsibilities included the full managerial overview of the Global Platform on Climate Change, Trade and Sustainable Energy. She was also responsible for ICTSD’s project on sustainable bioenergy production and trade and a joint ICTSD-IPC initiative on Climate Change – the Role of Food and Agricultural Trade. Marie first joined ICTSD as Intellectual Property Programme Associate in 2002 managing implementation of its Bellagio Dialogues, and after her masters studies in 2004-2005 returned as Trade and Natural Resources Programme Officer.
