Expert Group and Task Force Workshops
First Expert Group Workshop on Clean Energy Technologies
The E15 Expert Group on Clean Energy Technologies and the Trade System met for the first time in Geneva on 5-6 June 2013 to begin discussions exploring options to strengthen the multilateral trading system in the area of clean energy. The workshop began with a scene-seyting presentation by the Theme Leader Ricardo Meléndez-Ortiz (ICTSD), and the author of the background paper, Mahesh Sugathan (ICTSD). Experts then divided into small groups and discussed the following topics: (i) market access in the area of renewable energy, (ii) rules, and (iii) transitory measures.
