First Expert Group Workshop on Services
The E15 Expert Group on Services met for the first time in Geneva on 15-16 May 2014 to begin the process of developing policy options on how to improve multilateral cooperation in the field of services. The background paper written by Co-convener Magnus Rentzhog and Emilie Aner, both of Kommerskollegium, Sweden’s National Board of Trade, reviewed relevant issues in order to provide context for later discussions. The group also reviewed progress on the Doha negotiations on services and explored options for making GATS a more effective agreement in the context of services.
