Expert Group and Task Force Workshops
Second Expert Group Workshop on Agriculture and Food Security
The E15 Expert Group on Agriculture, Trade and Food Security Challenges met for the second time in Geneva on 10-11 June 2014 to continue discussions on agricultural trade and food security policy options for the ninth ministerial of the WTO (MC9) in Bali in December 2013. Theme Leader Stefan Tangermann of the University of Göttingen of presented the preliminary policy options stemming from the first workshop. Experts then presented the following think pieces, which were drafted after the first workshop, including Do Yesterday’s Disciplines Fit Today’s Farm Trade? Challenges and Policy Options by Jean-Christophe Bureau and Sebastien Jean; Agricultural Trade and Food Security: Some Thoughts about a Continuous Debate by Eugenio Diaz-Bonilla; and International Trade Disciplines and Policy Measures to Address Climate Change Mitigation and Adaptation in Agriculture by David Blandford.
