On 1 June, policy options recommended by the E15 were featured at the World Economic Forum Regional Meeting on ASEAN in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. ASEAN spans from the world’s most advanced trading nations to others that have more recently embraced trade and investment opportunities. In this context, the World Economic Forum organised a session on “Trade and Investment Policy and Practice,” which explored how to drive cutting-edge reforms to investment policy and digital trade while ensuring that core trade facilitation best practices are implemented. This discussion built on various recommendations proposed under the E15Initiative, in particular those produced by the E15 Task Force on Investment Policy, as well as the E15 Expert Group on Digital Economy.
