Dialogues with WTO Delegates
Third Roundtable Dialogue: Food Security
The third Rountable Dialogue with WTO Ambassadors occurred on 18 June, 2014 in Geneva, Switzerland. The focus of the discussion was on food security and agricultural trade in the post-Bali agenda.
If new ideas are going to be advanced at the multilateral level, the representatives to the WTO in Geneva will be critical. As such, engaging this group is important in disseminating ideas, testing their viability, and generating ownership. ICTSD, in a collaboration with Geneva’s top-ranked Graduate Institute of International and Development Studies, and led by Prof. Richard Baldwin, Director of the Centre for Trade and Economic Integration and President of the Centre for Economic Policy Research (CEPR), is hosting a series of dialogues and substantive roundtables in Geneva to engage Permanent Representatives and delegates to the WTO.
