Third Expert Group Workshop on Global Value Chains
The E15 Expert Group on Global Value Chains: Development Challenges and Policy Options met for the third time on 29-30 July 2014 in Geneva, Switzerland to discuss a first draft of policy options, the main output of the Expert Group. Development was a big focus for discussions, and experts continued to explore questions such as “who captures the value in global value chains?” and “how can developing countries move up the value chain?” Experts were also invited to attend the launch of the RTA Exchange Initiative – an original idea discussed by the E15 Expert Group on Regional Trade Agreements, and initiated by a consortium comprising the ICTSD, the Inter-American Development Bank (IDB) and the Asian Development Bank Institute (ADBI).
