Author of The Electronic Silk Road (Yale University Press 2013). Has published widely in the nation’s leading law journals, including the Yale Law Journal, the NYU Law Review, the University of Chicago Law Review, the Texas Law Review, and the California Law Review. Former: attorney in New York and Hong Kong with Cleary, Gottlieb, Steen & Hamilton. Member of the executive committee, American Society of International Law. Recipient of multiple Google Research Awards and a Mellon Sawyer grant on the topic of surveillance.
