PhD, University of Brussels. Founding partner, Appleton Luff; Guest professor of international trade law, Universities of Liege, Lille, Barcelona, and Moscow and the College of Europe. Has been practicing international trade law at European Comission and WTO levels for twenty two years. Works on projects dealing with technical barriers to trade, customs rules, WTO dispute settlement, regional integration and market access actions. Has advised private multinational companies and governments on cross-sectoral strategies; the sectors of financial services, postal and telecommunications services, textiles and clothing, steel, chemicals, sugar, bananas, dairy products, fruits and vegetables; WTO implementation; and WTO accession negotiations. Has published several books and articles in international reviews on subjects related to WTO law.
