Professor, Graduate School of Law, Kobe University; Council Member, Japan Association of International Economic Law and Japan Association of Economic Law; Member, Study Group on Governmental Regulations and Competition Policy organized by Japan Fair Trade Commission. Former: member, Study Group on the GATT/WTO Dispute Settlement Reports organized by the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry, Japan. Former: Professor, Graduate School of International Development, Nagoya University; For two decades, has been teaching competition law and international economic law at several universities; researching the WTO dispute settlement mechanism, development of competition laws in Asian countries as well as trade and competition policy; contributing to the capacity building of competition law enforcing agencies and trade-related ministries of a lot of developing countries as lecturers of JICA training courses on competition law enforcement and implementation of the WTO agreements.
