PhD in Economics and MSc in Management Science, Peking University; Sino-US Joint Training Programme in Modern Economics, People’s University; Financial Programming, IMF institution. Senior Research Fellow and Director-General, Development Research Center of the State Council. Former: Adjunct professor/senior researcher, Peking University, Beijing Institute of Technology, and China Executive Leadership Academy; Visiting Fellow, Center for Northeast Asian Policy Studies, Brookings Institution; Visiting Scholar, George Washington University; Vice-president, China Association for International Economic Cooperation; Director, China Society for WTO Studies; Vice-chairman, World Economic Forum’s Committee for Global Trade Agenda 2009. Researches on China’s foreign economic policies and has produced a number of major policy studies in foreign trade, cross-border investment, international economic cooperation, special economic zones, and regional economic cooperation.
