Specializes in the area of trade policy, including WTO policies, regional and bilateral trade agreements, special economic zones, trade and transport facilitation, and industrial policy. Former: Lead Economist, World Bank; Economic Adviser, Commerce Ministry in India; Instructor, World Bank Institute, Cornell University, University of California, Santa Cruz, University of Warwick, and the Indian Institute of Management. Was a part of the team that brought in economic reforms in 1991 that opened up the Indian economy.
