Professor of Global Political Economy and Chair of the Department of International Relations, University of Sussex; Honorary Professorial Fellow, University of Manchester; Member of the Editorial Board, Global Governance. International political economist specialising in global governance, trade, development, poverty and inequality, structural change, ’emerging’ powers, least developed countries and small island states. Former: Professor of International Political Economy and Research Director of the Brooks World Poverty Institute (BWPI), University of Manchester. Author of What’s Wrong with the WTO and How to Fix it (Polity, 2014) and The WTO: Crisis and the governance of global trade (Routledge, 2006).
