Simon Evenett
Academic Director and Professor of International Trade and Economic Development, University of St. Gallen; Non-Resident Senior Fellow in the Economics Studies programme of the Brookings Institution. Researches the factors determining the intensity of competition in emerging markets, on the effects of competition law and policy on firms behaviour, and on the analysis of existing and proposed agreements at the World Trade Organization. Has published a number of books and has in addition edited many book chapters and articles. Former: World Bank official; Has taught at the University of Oxford, the University of Michigan Business School, and Rutgers University. PhD in Economics, Yale University.
