Former: Director for Trade and Agriculture, Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD); Professor of economics and agricultural economics, Universities of Frankfurt/Main and Göttingen; Member and Chairman of the Scientific Committee and of several working groups, Science Council of Germany. Has written numerous books and articles that have contributed to the international debate on agricultural policies and trade. PhD in Economics, University of Göttingen (Germany).
